Desde que vi la colección Sky’s the Limit de Simon Hurley para @teamspellbinders supe que quería crear algo alegre, colorido y lleno de movimiento. Y estas tarjetas con niños volando cometas superaron mis propias expectativas. 🧒🏽🪁👧🏽

As soon as I saw the Sky’s the Limit collection by Simon Hurley for @teamspellbinders, I knew I wanted to create something bright, playful, and full of movement. These little kite-flying kids ended up bringing so much more magic than I expected. 🧒🏽🪁👧🏽

Me encantó combinar los colores vivos, elegir cada tono de piel, cada detalle de la ropa y armar cada personaje pieza por pieza. Hay algo muy especial en ver cómo un conjunto de troqueles planos se transforma en una escena que transmite tanta ternura y alegría.
El fondo lo trabajé con un embossing folder que también forma parte de esta colección y me pareció ideal para sumar textura sin robarle protagonismo a los personajes. ¡Una base blanca con relieve de cometas que complementa a la perfección el diseño! ✨
I loved picking out the colors, matching the skin tones and clothing, and assembling each character one tiny piece at a time. There’s something so rewarding about watching flat die cuts turn into heartwarming scenes full of personality and joy.
The embossed background is part of the same collection, and it added just the right amount of texture without distracting from the focal elements. A white-on-white kite pattern that makes everything pop just beautifully! ✨
