Dos tarjetas, un foil – Técnica positiva y negativa con Daisy Trio de Spellbinder de Yana Smakula

Hoy quiero compartirte una técnica que me tiene completamente fascinada: crear dos tarjetas usando el foil en positivo y negativo, aprovechando al máximo una lámina de foil con dos pasadas diferentes usando la Glimmer Hot Foil System.

Today I’m sharing a foiling technique I really enjoy: creating two cards using both the positive and negative foil effect, getting the most out of one foil sheet through two different passes with the Glimmer Hot Foil System.

Usé el diseño Daisy Trio BetterPress de la colección Yana’s Daisies by Yana Smakula para @teamspellbinders, y el resultado fue espectacular. Las flores lucen con un nivel de detalle increíble cuando se combinan con foil dorado sobre cartulina negra.

I used the Daisy Trio BetterPress plate from the Yana’s Daisies Collection by Yana Smakula for @teamspellbinders, and the results were stunning. The floral details really shine when combined with gold foil on black cardstock.

Primero realicé el diseño positivo colocando el foil dorado sobre el papel junto con la placa y pasándolo por la Glimmer. Esto crea el clásico efecto brillante con líneas limpias. Luego, en lugar de desechar la parte sobrante del foil, la reutilicé para una segunda tarjeta: simplemente la posicioné sobre otro papel, repetí el proceso con una placa de transferencia, y obtuve un fondo dorado con flores oscuras.

First, I created the positive foil design by placing the gold foil with the plate and cardstock through the Glimmer system. This gives the classic clean foil lines. Then, instead of tossing the leftover foil, I reused it for a second card: I positioned it over new paper, added a solid plate, and ran it through again to create a reverse effect—gold background with black floral silhouettes.
